IT Engineer III, San Jose, California

Ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and implementation of large cross-functional systems. Candidate will be responsible for assisting the development of projects necessary to achieve and support the business goals of the Manufacturing Supply Chain function with emphasis on Order Fulfillment and Shipment processes.

The successful candidate must have experience with Oracle 11i Manufacturing, Order management, BOM and WIP modules and Design & Development Tools and utilities including Oracle developer forms/reports. Knowledge of Web based Business Intelligence Applications a definite plus.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with co-located and remote/virtual cross-functional teams required. Experience working in an extremely dynamic, and fast paced environment a real plusOracle ERP Developer : Good understanding of Oracle Applications. Experience with software development life cycle and oracle application implementation. Hands on experience in SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports and performance tuning is required. Experience in Oracle Applications 11i desired.

Experience in Oracle Manufacturing modules like Order Management, Work in Process, Inventory and Bill of Material is required. Basic understanding of J2EE, Java and OLAP technology is a plusRecommends and initiates projects to benefit cross-group objectives. Recommends and ensures proper technical alternatives have been selected and implemented.

Ensures commitments and deliverables are met. Mentors and leads projects (technical side), usually participating in or leading complex & cross-functional technical projects. Assists in developing complex project plans and time-lines. Participates in technical review of applicable global projects. Excellent analytical & problem solving skills. Strong understanding of all current technologies and good understanding of emerging technologies. Strong understanding of business impact of technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interfaces with all levels of IT and Business Partners in all areas of the company. Typically reports to Mgr, IT with a PM providing day to day work direction. Goals are set by Mgr IT and PM.Typically requires BS/CS or equivalent plus 4-8 years related technical experience.
